It has probably been around two months since I first got a message on the account. Even a single day before, I was eating lunch alone every day, having to scope out a new place to sit. Now, my friends wait for me at the same table.Kieran sits with me, Lucy, and Leo sometimes, but he has tons of other friends too. I wonder if it's nice having that many people... It just seems a bit busy to me, but he seems to handle it well.
Leo: You guys there's this new donut shop like ten minutes from our school. Let's go today!
Lucy: It opened last week right? Aren't the lines going to be super long?
Leo: We'll be fine if we run
Kieran: I'm down if you guys are >:)
I'm free today after school.
Leo: Alright! Lucy what bout you?
Lucy: I totally would, but I've got a therapist appointment after school. Sorry everyone, I'll join you next time.
Kieran: You're totally good Lucy we'll miss you though
Yeah, don't worry about it.
Leo: Aww bummer. Next time for sure!
And so, Leo, Kieran, and I went to the new donut shop that opened. It was bustling and loud with people, mostly our fellow students.Leo had to leave before us for his own psychologist appointment. His body dysmorphia and disordered eating have been improving after getting the diagnosis and I'm happy for him.That leaves me with just the school's vice president... a peer I never thought I'd end up talking to. Kieran just seems so far away from me at times.
Our chat is surprisingly pleasant, much to my surprise. Despite being in tons of activities, Kieran found the time to hang out with us. After talking to him for a while, I learned a lot about his interests past school. He loves rock music and plays the electric guitar, which goes completely against his "model student" image.We have a lot more in common than we thought, and after hanging out in person, it started to feel like our feet were both planted on the same soil, like he wasn't so far away.

Kieran: Hey this may sound weird but... are Leo and Lucy okay?
They were fine when I last saw them. Why?
Kieran: Well I guess I didn't expect them to both be seeing therapists. They look pretty happy normally
Everyone deals with their own stuff, you know. They are both happy for the most part, but I guess people need some help dealing with their personal problems sometimes. There's nothing wrong with that.
I mean, even I saw a therapist for a while when I first moved. I wasn't unhappy then, I was just dealing with some of the stress. It's pretty typical.
Kieran: Really... I thought it was only for depression and stuff
Kieran: Do you really think that's true though? That people can be depressed even if they don't look like it? Even if their life is great and they have no reason to be?
